Brilliant move!
Thomas Cook, the holiday operator, got outwitted by one of its rivals. A guy called Thomas Cook posted on the Thomas Cook UK Facebook asking for a free holiday because of the ridicule he had received over the years for sharing the same name as the travel operator.
Thomas Cook UK responded with a “no we don’t give away holidays”. A quick thinking rival Low Cost Holidays jumped in and gave Thomas a whole week away. Smart move. We hope Thomas Cook (the person) enjoyed his break.
